Growing up in Jackson, MS, I honed a great deal of my culinary skills in my grandmother’s kitchen, where the art of Southern cooking was more than a family tradition—it was a legacy. My roots, deeply connected to the rich culinary traditions of New Orleans, LA, have imbued my cooking with a unique blend of Southern comfort and Creole flair.
Coming of age in Mississippi, I was compelled to undertake the essential task of meal preparation as a matter of necessity. It was not until the COVID-19 pandemic, which constituted a significant and disruptive force majeure event, that I began to fully commit to the culinary arts and systematically refine my cooking techniques. This period of enforced isolation provided a unique opportunity for intensive personal development. Through this meticulous process of experimentation and refinement, I navigated a diverse array of ingredients and flavor profiles, culminating in a sophisticated understanding of blended flavors. These culinary innovations have empowered me to craft and present a range of dishes with the intention of sharing a refined culinary experience with the broader community.
Professionally, I am a lawyer by trade, and I bring a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to both my legal practice and my culinary endeavors. The same dedication to precision and excellence that defines my legal work is evident in my approach to cooking. Each dish I create is crafted with a careful balance of tradition and innovation, much like the careful consideration and analysis I apply when advising clients.
Currently residing in Charlotte, NC, I enjoy curating events with friends, exploring the natural beauty of the region through nature walks, and spending quality time with my Goldendoodle, Bo. Balancing a demanding career with a passion for cooking and a love for life’s simple pleasures, I strive to infuse creativity and joy into all aspects of my life.
